Nugget's Game Pack 01 - WOS-Top-100 as it was on Dec 2015

This 175-Game pack is made up of all the games from the WOS Top 100 chart as of Dec 2015, all encoded packed and trained using my Loader-8 loading system, which includes an animated loading screen build, cheat pokes and many significant updates and additions.  There is no significance as to Dec 2015, that is just when I put this game pack together. You may wonder why there is 175 games instead of 100, and the reason is that I would include all the games in the "series" hence Fairlight also contains Fairlight II. The Trap Door also includes Through the Trap Door, and Bomb Jack also contains Bomb Jack + (a recent mod with new in-game screens from 2018) and Bomb Jack II.

These games are all "fixed" to run from all supported platforms. Originally many older games had to "select 48K mode" then use "OUT 32765,48" or "POKE 23388,16" yet all of these will work just fine hitting the Tape Loader option. Many games have been merged, for example the game Fairlight (48K-128K), which originally had separate 48K and 128K versions, loads the 48K version and checks if the machine is a 48K, or in 48K mode, and runs it if no 128K extended RAM is found, But in the case of expanded memory being found, it patches the game to the 128K version, and goes on to load and run the extensions (AY Music, additional menus etc). Use 128K versions where available.

Obviously a 128K only game with tag (128K) would only run on a 128K machine to start with. Where there is an original 48K version this is included with a (48K) tag, but will invariably be a multiload (levels load as needed) and will not include 128K extensions such as music. Some (for example Robocop 2/3, and Where Time Stood Still, were only released as 128K games.

This pack contains ALL the .tap files, which are fairly universal in that they work on pretty much anything due to their simple ROM-load nature, yet are less exciting to use within any system  that supports the .tzx format, which looks far superior due to the alcatraz-style streamed screen reveal, nice loader countdown and higher turbo loading speed. This pack includes a small selection of these tzx files for demonstration purposes. (check out those pretty loaders)!

This pack also includes a small selection of +3/+3e Installers. Loading these tapes allows installation of the game to a +3 disk or a +3e partition, from where the game will run. The games have been altered to install/run from any drive letter ("A","B",etc. through "P") and any loading or saving of game files within the game will be placed onto the same disk as the game is installed to, using a custom handler which catalogues the disk and speed-loads available files.
